Though the Tom Kearns Sports Hall of Fame Building was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and remains closed to the public, the UM Sports Hall of Fame was able to host some of its annual fundraising events this year.

Among those events were the 9th Annual Bowling Tournament hosted by Randal “Thrill” Hill, the 28th Annual Golf Tournament hosted by former Hurricanes baseball coach Jim Morris and the inaugural Happy Hall-idays Ball Drop Fundraiser this month. The 52nd Annual Induction Banquet was postponed, as was the 2020 Fishing Tournament, but hopefully, both events will be able to be held in 2021.

The Hall remembers two of its members who passed away this year: Al Carapella (football) and Sy Chadroff (basketball).
